Jess organised a second date for the pair on Sunday night's episode as an apology for their awkward vineyard date, and after several falls on Pete's behalf, the pair had an all round successful date.
But, while at Michael Hassini's secret agent party, Pete admitted to the boys that he was hoping for a kiss. "I spent most of the time sliding across the floor," he told them. "But it was nice to spend time with her."
When asked if anything happened, Pete said: "No, we high-fived," holding his head in his hands.
Pete's best mate James 'Lockie' Lock told him: "You're going around, you've been putting six months of hard graft in, and as a friend, I don't want to see you get mugged off, so I think you should cut your losses and move on."
Now speaking in a new TOWIE video after their date, Jess said: "I love ice skating, he kind of does now too. It's not your typical romantic date but it was romantic. It was nice and we had fun."
Speaking about Pete, she added: "He's very gentlemanly. He's one of the most gentlemanly guys I think I've ever dated. My mum and Nanny Pat love him, they think he's a lovely guy."
And, Jess confirmed that a third date is on the cards!
"I want to go on another date with him," she said. "Well, he suggested pie and mash, and I love pie and mash, so potentially pie and mash."
In another video with Pete, Jess defended her decision to give him a high five.
"High fives aren't the new snogging," she said. "It was just a high five. There's nothing wrong with a high five between people that may or may not fancy each other. It was just a high five."
Pete then joked it was an "affectionate high five".
