Not surprisingly, soon after Adele's first single in three years was unveiled, the internet was full of memes - many of which included references to Lionel Richie's iconic 1983 hit 'Hello'.
Taking to Instagram, Lionel shared a collaged image - one from his 'Hello' music video, and the other being an image of Adele - with both holding corded phones.
Captioning the snap, Lionel wrote: "HELLO @adele is it me you're looking for... #hello."
Just brilliant, right?!
Music legend Lionel also posted a video of an Adele and Lionel mash-up, which has been doing the round since Friday and has now gone viral. In a hilarious attempt to merge the two videos, Adele rings a phone, while Lionel answers it.
We'd love for Adele to respond. In fact, Adele told Nick Grimshaw on his Radio 1 Breakfast Show that she and Lionel have to do some kind of competitive "hello-off". She said last week: "We've definitely got to do something, me and Lionel."
Adele's music video stars The Wire and 90210 star Tristan 'Mack' Wilds. Her third studio album, 25, is due for release on 20 November.
