The contestants had the gruelling task of the Six Chair Challenge followed by a 'make or break' performance at Judges' Houses, but over the weekend it was the X Factor judging panel that felt the pressure.
With live shows kicking off next weekend, Cheryl, Simon Cowell, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw had to whittle down their categories from six to three, announcing their choices live from Wembley Arena, but who made the cut?
Cheryl was first to cut her category in half.
She had whisked her acts, 4th Impact, Alien Uncovered, BEKLN Mile, Melody Stone, New Kings Order and Reggie n Bollie to Rome, bringing along Jess Glynne as her celebrity guest. Left impressed with all her category's performances on the day, Chezza had a tough decision ahead of her.
Here's who she picked:
1. 4th Impact
Since their first audition and *that* rendition of 'Bang Bang' 4th Impact have been a firm favourite. For their Judges' Houses performance the girls stripped things back, shunning their usual fast-paced dance routines for a killer ballad instead.
They sang Eminem and Rihanna's 'Love The Way You Lie', with Cheryl saying she was left "choked" by their vocals.
2. Alien Uncovered
Alien Uncovered are one seriously sassy girlband and their flawless dance moves and quirky vocals have had Cheryl pretty impressed. Putting their spin on Usher's 'Bad Girl', the six girls had Jess gushing over them. She told Cheryl: "They are so special, each of them has something that is individually exciting".
3. Reggie 'N' Bollie
The loveable duo are on a mission to bring the fun every week and their entertaining rendition of The Beatles' 'Twist And Shout' won Jess over. Cheryl branded the pair the "happiest" X Factor contestants ever, telling Jess she knows she can rely on them to entertain week in and week out. Seeming to agree, the 'Hold My Hand' singer said: "I've got to be honest with you, I love them."
