In historic quotes from the 'R.I.P' singer, who is now 24, Rita claims she was 'groomed for sex' by a man of 26 when she was just a teenager.
In extracts from a new biography Hot Right Now printed in The Sun On Sunday, Rita explains the relationship began when she was a drama student at London's Sylvia Young Theatre School.
However, rather than describe herself as a victim, Rita says the situation gave her a confidence boost.
In quotes taken from a 2013 interview on women's issues Rita gave to Lifetime TV, she says: "I would say he was about 26, and you have to remember I hadn't had a relationship before then at all.
"It's strange how, once it starts, you kind of feel you can take over the world. Even to this day if someone fancied me I'd feel so great."
She goes on to say: "I was almost obsessed with having a man feel like he wants me. [...] I didn't care what he did or how old he was. I wanted it. It's crazy.
"Now I know he listened to me because he obviously wanted to have sex with me."
However, she also concedes: "It's child abuse, really, isn't it?
"I don't want to say that I suffered it, because I wanted it. I don't want to say that I was forced to do it. I don't want people to think I was abused as a kid but I was definitely more mature than I should have been at 14."
Rita is currently mentoring the girls' category on The X Factor.
In Sunday's show (25 October), the former Voice coach must choose the four acts she wants to go through to the live finals.
She must pick between Chloe Paige, Havva Rebke, Kiera Weathers, Lauren Murray, Louisa Johnson and Monica Michael.
The Kosovan-born star recently split from Travis Barker, and is believed to be currently single.
This year, she has also dated Ricky Hil. Previous boyfriends include Calvin Harris and Rob Kardashian.
Hot Right Now: The Definitive Biography of Rita Ora by Douglas Wight & Jennifer Wiley is published on 29 October.
