Caitlyn Jenner's documentary series I Am Cait has been renewed for a second series by E!

The former Olympic athlete's fly-on-the-wall series has been described as "groundbreaking" because of its focus on Caitlyn's transition and how it has raised awareness of the transgender community.

Reacting to the news, Caitlyn simply said: "I'm looking forward to continuing the conversation."

E! exec Jeff Olde added: "Caitlyn's story has ignited a global conversation on the transgender community on a scale that has never been seen before. We are honoured Caitlyn has chosen to continue to share her ongoing story with our viewers around the world."

I Am Cait launched this summer, giving fans a look at Caitlyn's life post-transition. It has featured cameos from the Kardashian Jenner family, who have publicly supported Caitlyn in her journey.

It is currently aired in 153 countries around the world.

Back in June, Caitlyn said she wasn't doing I Am Cait for money, instead she wanted to share her journey and raise awareness for her community.

"I'm doing it to help my soul and help other people," she continued. "If I can make a dollar, I certainly am not stupid. [I have] house payments and all that kind of stuff. I will never make an excuse for something like that. Yeah, this is a business. You don't go out and change your gender for a television show. OK, it ain't happening. I don't care who you are."
