Dan serenaded Kate with a little help from James 'Lockie' Lock and James 'Diags' Bennewith as he re-enacted a scene from Top Gun by singing 'You've Lost That Loving Feeling' by The Righteous Brothers.
Dressed in naval uniform, Dan went all out to prove to Kate that he would do whatever it takes to win her back - even if that meant embarrassing himself by singing in public.
Kate, who was on a girls' night out, was shocked by Dan's appearance but could not stop laughing as he attempted to sing.
Their co-stars and other partygoers were also in hysterics at the boys' performance.
After his sing-song, Dan told Kate: "I know you feel like I've embarrassed you and humiliated you so I wanted to do something that showed I was willing to embarrass myself. I know that's not going to make everything better, but hopefully that just shows you that I'm serious and I'm in this for you. Maybe next time you can let me take you out?"
Kate, who admitted she thought Dan and the boys were "going to strip", replied: "Well I can't say no, can I? I can't, I've got no choice! So yeah, we can go on a date. No more singing though!"
Dan's latest grand gesture comes as Kate said doing something extravagant wouldn't win her back. But Dan was persuaded otherwise when speaking to Danielle Armstrong and Chloe Sims that it would in fact be a good idea.
Dan and Kate dated for around four years, but he broke up with her just before he joined the show, and got with Jessica Wright some four days later, leaving Kate heartbroken.
