Reports emerged that Lauren, who joined TOWIE in 2010, was leaving after five years on the show to focus on her growing businesses.
Lauren's BFF Vas seemingly confirmed her exit when he tweeted on Wednesday afternoon (20 October): "Always chic, classy & loyal @LaurenPope thank you for being a wonderful friend on & off screen & good luck with all your future endeavours."
According to earlier reports, Lauren is set to leave the show at the end of the current 16th series.
Sources say Lauren can't commit to filming because she is too busy juggling her businesses, which include her Hair Rehab London company, a fashion range with In The Style, as well as DJ-ing and modelling.

The Mirror reports how Lauren has since invested in several other business opportunities, and will be busy attending meetings in the UK and the US, as well as "a couple of other TV offers, which she might test the water with".
Lauren has yet to publicly comment on the reports.
Since the last series, Mario Falcone and Gemma Collins have quit the show. In the past year alone, Essex stars who have left the show include Ricky Rayment, Tom Pearce, Jasmin Walia, Dan Osborne and Elliott Wright.
