The 11th series of Geordie Shore has officially arrived on our screens, and aside from the usual drinking, arguing and nakedness, viewers are also in for some added romance with an on-screen engagement - ooh!
Former TOWIE star Ricky proposed to Marnie on the show, however a lot has happened in between popping the question and the series launch, as the previously loved up pair have split.
Despite Marnie telling us things between her and Ricky hadn't ended on bad terms, there is one thing causing a bit of tension, the sparkling diamond engagement ring! Basically they both want it, but Marnie isn't sure she want's to hand over her gleaming rock....
"I'm in discussions about the ring," she told us at the launch of her lingerie collaboration with Lovehoney. "Ricky wants it back but I want to keep it because I really love it a lot. It's mine and I don't think I should give it back."
But Ricky reckons it would be best for both of them if Marnie were to hand the ring back to him, in fact he's pretty superstitious about it. Marnie explained: "Ricky said it's bad luck to keep something that didn't work out, and he can't understand why I'd want to keep it. He can't see why, if I was to meet someone new, I would want to keep something he gave me.
"I'm guessing he'd want to sell it" she added, before revealing that although she keeps the ring safely stored in her jewellery box, she has given the shimmering ring one last night out. "I have worn it out once after the split," Marnie confessed, "I just wore it on another finger so no-one realised!"
Marnie also admitted her whirlwind engagement has made her wary of moving so quickly with a new relationship: "I wouldn't rush into something so fast again," she told us.
Although that doesn't mean she wants to erase all memories of her and Ricky's relationship, in fact, the reality star plans on keeping the 'R' tattoo that adorns her wrist (R for Ricky, if anyone required confirmation). She explained the marking will one day be a touching, nostalgic memory.
"I don't know what I'm going to do about it, but I don't want to get rid of it. I'll probably just leave it. Then when people ask I'll about it I'll tell them it was for a boy I was in love with once upon a time." Pretty cute, no?
