This is the first time Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Khloe has spoken publicly since former NBA star Lamar was found unconscious in a brothel.
On Tuesday (20 October), Khloe wrote on her website: "This past week has been incredibly difficult. I am so thankful to family, friends and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar. I also want to take a moment to thank everyone at Sunrise Hospital, including the amazing doctors and nurses for their kindness and diligent work."
Lamar was receiving care at Las Vegas' Sunrise Hospital, but it is believed he has now been transferred to Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles to continue his recovery.
"Under their amazing care, incredible strides have been made," Khloe continued. "You can never be prepared for an experience like this, but without the outpouring of love and endless prayers that Lamar has received and the strength I was given from my loved ones, it would have been difficult to endure. Thank you for your continued supper. God is great!"
Lamar was found unconscious on Tuesday 13 October at Love Ranch, a legal brothel in Nevada. He regained consciousness some 72 hours later after waking from a coma and is believed to have spoken his first words at the Las Vegas' hospital to ex-wife Khloe.
It was just earlier this week that Lamar's aunt. JaNean Mercer, told E! News that her nephew is now "more alert and gaining more strength".
During Lamar's hospitalisation, it was also reported that although Khloe and Lamar split in 2013 and signed divorce papers, they are legally still married as the paperwork has not been completed by a judge. That means Khloe has been making the difficult medical decisions about Lamar's care.
