According to the latest reports, Brian is said to be venturing into camp and will swap his place on The X Factor for a hammock in the jungle instead.
As The X Factor's live shows are scheduled to air at the same time as I'm A Celeb returns to our screens, reports suggest that Brian has had to pick between the two shows, choosing to take on the jungle this time round.
A source told The Mirror: "Brian had been in talks to return to the X Factor, but, due to the timings of the two shows, he couldn't do both.
"His X Factor role is mostly behind the scenes, but Brian wants to make more of a name for himself in front of the camera."
So far the full lineup for I'm A Celeb is yet to be revealed, but adding fuel to the fire of speculation, The X Factor has confirmed Brian won't be returning to help this year's hopefuls and their performances.
If Brian does head into the jungle, he could potentially be reunited with a former X Factor colleague as Louis Walsh is rumoured to be joining the lineup this year.
Irish music mogul Louis teased he "could be" entering the jungle, earlier this month. He told a reporter for BBC Newsbeat: "Let's see what happens. That is all I am saying. I'm not saying I said no, I am not saying I said yes."
Louis and Brian are just two of a whole host of names that have been rumoured. Among them are Geordie Shore's Vicky Pattison, The Weakest Link presenter Anne Robinson and former TOWIE star Gemma Collins.
Despite appearing on the show last year, Gemma quit after just three days in camp and is now said to be in 'advanced talks' for a return.
