TOWIE's Michael Hassini has said he's offended by Lewis Bloor calling him a "slippery geezer" as it implies they had a close friendship.

Viewers of the ITVBe show know there's no love lost between Michael and Lewis, stemming from when they used to work together before TOWIE and the fact Mike slept with an ex-girlfriend of Lewis' and then told Lewis that he hadn't.

Talking to the TOWIE official website, newbie Mike said: "In my dictionary the word slippery is somebody doing something wrong to someone who they are close to or doing an unjust thing to someone they have a good relationship with.

"Me and Lewis have never had a good relationship from day one, before the whole exes and girls got involved. For me to go with one of his exes, I don't believe to be slippery, I feel I was entitled to do it. It's just Lewis getting angry and using words he thinks are offensive."

Mike also said he had a reason to lie to Lewis: he was protecting Lewis' ex-girlfriend who hadn't told Lewis about their one night stand.

"I'm not a liar, I don't usually lie to people but at that particular moment in time with me and Lewis' past and his ex girlfriend, I needed to lie to save her back, really. So I understand why he's annoyed but at the same time he has to put himself in my position and think what would be the right thing to do in that situation."

TOWIE airs Sundays and Wednesdays at 10pm on ITVBe.
