News of Lauren and Spenny's split came as a shock to fans, as the pair had seemed nothing but loved-up following the finale of the E4 reality show's last series.
However, Spencer's rep confirmed last month he is now single, with the notorious ladies man recently revealing he's "not ruling out" looking for someone new.
At the time it was confirmed Spencer was no longer in a relationship, Lauren had posted an intimate selfie of the pair in bed together, suggesting otherwise.
The reality star was later seen kissing another girl following a night out in the capital, but setting the record straight, Spencer recently revealed he was single when he locked lips with someone else.
Opening up about his failed romance to the Mail Online, Spencer explained: "Lauren is lovely, but I didn't see a future with her... We had an adult conversation, which had nothing to do with my kiss outside Mahiki, I was single at the time."
Thanks to his past womanising ways, many weren't surprised to see Spencer smooching with another girl shortly after his and Lauren's break up.
During the last series of the show, he even admitted to cheating on Lauren, but he is certain his drunken kiss didn't impact the way the pair's relationship ended.
Viewers watched as Spencer confessed to being unfaithful, insisting to Lauren the kiss didn't mean anything to him. He managed to persuade his former flame to forgive him and as the series wrapped up, Lauren and Spencer couldn't have seemed happier.
So much so, that Spenny even missed out on a trip to LA with the rest of the cast to spend the summer with Lauren instead.
Now he is unattached, Spencer added: "I am enjoying myself as one would... I am single now, so I can't rule out dating someone new."
Made In Chelsea returns to screens Monday 19 October on E4.
