Forget posting a cryptic tweet or getting all creative with side-eye emojis after a breakup, when you're a singer/songwriter getting dumped calls for a soul searching melody and a smash hit record.
Harry and 1D bandmate Louis Tomlinson have penned a new track and it's thought to be about his romance with 'Shake It Off' singer Taylor. Remember that relationship? The pair were pictured looking all cosy holding hands and wandering round New York back in 2012 then split in January 2013 after three months.
According to The Sun 'Perfect' includes a lyric claiming Harry was just "someone to write break-up songs about". And that's not all, the track apparently bears similarities to Taylor's tune 'Style', which rumour has it, is about Harry.
An insider added: "Harry would never get too specific about Taylor in a song, but the lyrics are definitely going to get fans speculating."
Well, the speculation in question is already kicking off and the track hasn't even been released yet. They continued: "He doesn't want to dish the dirt but a relationship as intense as their's has provided lots of inspiration."
Other lyrics reportedly include a reference to Taylor's track 'I Wish You Would' - another thought to be about Harry and how much he missed her after the pair broke up.
Taylor's lyrics say: "It's 2am in your car/ Windows down, you pass my street/ The memories start." While Harry's apparently go a little something like this: "If you like when I'm driving with the windows down/ If you like going places we can't even pronounce/ If you like to do whatever you've been dreaming about/ Baby you're perfect."
So they almost definitely went on a date that included driving with the windows down, how's that for gossip?
'Perfect' will be the third song taken from 1D's new album Made in the A.M.
