TOWIE's Verity Chapman has hit back at Danielle Armstrong's "dirty cheeseburger" remark.

Danielle took aim at Verity in a recent interview this month as the cast were promoting the brand new series.

Talking about Pete's new romance with Jessica Wright, and his past flirtations with Verity, Danielle told the Daily Star: "Pete is better off. Jess Wright is a fillet steak and Verity is a dirty cheese burger."

But, Verity has now hit back at the remarks, saying she is more 'high quality' than that.

Taking to Twitter, Verity wrote: "Dirty cheese burger!? More like wagyu beef darling, if you know what that is @Daniarmstrong88."

Danielle's comments came as co-star Pete slammed Verity for being "vile". He exclusively told Reveal: "With Verity, well, Danielle was right. She's not my cup of tea. V for vile.

"I thought she was a nice girl... I do think she's a nice girl deep down somewhere, but it's hidden behind a mask of vileness. We didn't really fall out but she's after what she can get I think."

The cast headed out to Marbella to film scenes for the brand new series, and Pete said Verity turned up...uninvited.

A TOWIE rep confirmed to Reveal Verity hadn't been filming much in Marbs but we've since been told that she may continue to make appearances.

Danielle also told Reveal how Verity "tried to" speak to her while out in Marbs. Danielle said: "What I went through with James was really real and raw to me. She's just a b*tch. There's two women out there, the ones that stick together and the ones who sleep with your husbands."

Danielle fell out with Verity in the last series after hearing rumours that she'd been flirting with her ex-boyfriend James 'Lockie' Lock on a night out.

In a heated row with Danielle, Verity then claimed that Lockie wanted to bed her. Lockie denied this at first, but a SnapChat video showed Lockie playfully saying Verity was coming home with him. Lockie told Danielle it was banter that got out of control and insisted he didn't usually act like that.
