EastEnders star Annette Badland has hinted that Ross Kemp will be returning to the soap as Grant Mitchell.

Or, at least the presenters on Good Morning Britain seem to think so...

Will Ross Kemp return to 'Enders?

Annette, who plays scheming Aunt Babe in the soap, appeared on the ITV daytime programme on Wednesday (7 October) and did little to rubbish rumours that Grant would return to Albert Square.

When pressed about the rumours by Susanna Reid and Kate Garraway, Annette said: "Well, perhaps Aunt Babe is out there looking for him now. You never know. But who am I to say? I never tell lies!'

Susanna said in response: "Well that practically is a confirmation."

Kate agreed, saying she was going to "bank that as fact".

WIll the Mitchell brothers be reunited? Phil and Grant in their heyday.

Is Annette just teasing? Is Ross really coming back? Or are we just being sent on a wild goose chase?! We hope to find out soon!

It was just last week that Ross reignited every soap fan's hopes by writing "never say never" when a fan asked via Twitter if he would return to the show.

Ross originally left EastEnders in1999 after playing his character for nine years, and returned for a year in 2005.

Acting aside, Ross is well-known for making a string of successful documentaries including Ross Kemp on Gangs and Extreme World.
