Pregnant Emmerdale actress Charley Webb wants her character Debbie Dingle to have a "quiet" exit from the village.

Charley was asked about her exit storyline at the Inside Soap Awards 2015 sponsored by Dream Bingo and she told Reveal that she was hoping Debbie's exit wouldn't be too dramatic.

Debbie has been at the centre of the soap's storyline in recent months due to her steamy affair with Ross Barton, who is her husband Pete's brother.

"I've got no idea how I'm leaving," Charley admits. "I just want something quiet. There's been so much drama around those character recently, I'm sure they'll have to be something to get her out because her family's there and her business.

"Something not too dramatic," she continues. "No dust, no water, but anything else I'm happy with."

Charley will be going on maternity leave, and hinted that she may take an extended break too.

"Yes, I'll be back at some point," she assures us. "I'm not sure when yet but I'm going to have a little break."

At the awards ceremony, Charley won the Best Affair award alongside Michael Parr for Debbie and Ross' affair. Emmerdale also won the gong for Best Soap.

Charley is expecting her second child with her Emmerdale co-star Matthew Wolfenden. They announced in June that they were expecting again by sharing a cute family photo with the caption: "Here we go again #babynumber2."

Charley and Matthew are already parents to five-year-old son Buster.
