If Union J had to do their time all over again on The X Factor, they know exactly which judge they'd be picking to mentor them... Rita Ora.

Sassy 'Body On Me' singer Rita was drafted in to replace Spice Girl Mel B on this year's series of The X Factor and she's proven to be quite the hit.

So much so, that when Reveal caught up with Union J singer Jaymi Hensley he told us he and the boys wouldn't want anyone else but her to see them through the competition.

Jaymi Hensley, Union J

We asked Jaymi if he and Union J were auditioning again for the show this year, which judge would they pick. He told us: "Rita, for sure. She's the dream."

The 25-year-old then added that he is loving this year's judging panel (which has also seen the addition of Nick Grimshaw, alongside Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini), with Jaymi claiming it is so much more "fresh and happy" compared to previous years.

When he initially auditioned back in 2012 with Union J, Jaymi found himself singing in front of a very different judging lineup. Instead it was Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh that graced the panel, with Louis going on to become Union J's mentor.

In a surprise move by Simon, Louis was axed from The X Factor this year, to make way for Radio 1 DJ Grimmy.

Jaymi told us he thinks the show is "definitely missing" the Irish music mogul, before admitting he and his bandmates are still in touch with Louis. "I speak to him all the time," he said.

Union J returned to X Factor to perform 'You Got It All'.

Brodie Kelly, The X Factor

But despite Louis' departure, that hasn't stopped Jaymi from tuning in - especially as his cousin Brodie Kelly was among this year's auditionees.

18-year-old Brodie impressed the judges with his acoustic rendition of 'Hey There Delilah', before getting through boot camp. He will now take to the stage to try and impress Nick (who is mentoring the boys) during the Six Chair Challenge, in the hope to make it to Judges' Houses.

And having a cousin that has been through the entire process all before, you'd think he'd have asked Jaymi for some advice before stepping onto the X Factor stage, right? Nope, he chose to keep it all quiet, instead.

"Brodie kept it all a secret! Cheeky bugger," Jaymi revealed. "He's a huge talent and I'm very proud. Keep your eyes peeled!"

Viewers are yet to see if Brodie has won a place at Judges' Houses as it was Rita and her girls that took on the Six Chair Challenge first.

After an intense round of auditions, that had Rita believing she was the "most hated person in the UK", she finally chose her final six.

Lauren Murray, Chloe Paige, Havva Rebke, Monica Michael, Kiera Weathers and Louisa Johnson will join Rita in LA, after managing to keep their seat. There, they will sing for her and Meghan Trainor, before Rita decides who she will be taking through to the live shows.

Nick will enlist the help of Mark Ronson, Simon will be joined by One Direction's Louis Tomlinson and Cheryl will be joined by Jess Glynne.

Union J will be doing an interactive fan event, 'An Audience with Union J', , with live performances and Q&As in Plymouth on the 19 October. For more information please visit www.unionjofficial.com
