With ten novels under her belt, Katie is no stranger when it comes to putting together a juicy read for us to curl up with. But, Vicky has now questioned exactly how much the mum-of-five gets involved when it comes to getting her books ready to be published.
After experiencing the process with her first novel, All That Glitters, and now her second, A Christmas Kiss, Vicky told The Daily Star: "Two books a year was so draining physically and mentally... I couldn't work out how it's possible to do four books a year like Katie."
Despite having a ghost writer for her novels, Vicky explained that she is "fully involved in the creative process" from beginning to end, and she has even put pen to paper for some parts.
And finding the whole process to be quite tough, especially when juggling it with other commitments, the 27-year-old added: "Katie has done exceptionally well with her books but I don't know how much involvement she actually has in them."
Like Vicky, Katie has admitted she has a ghost writer when it comes to her reads, but has spoken in the past of how she is a big influence in the process.
Speaking to Digital Spy back in 2012, Katie said: "I come up with the plot, and then we go through each chapter together. [They] fills out the bits."
Vicky's comments come as she prepares to release her second novel A Christmas Kiss on 22 October.
Following a similar storyline to that of Vicky's first novel, A Christmas Kiss tells the story of a young girl, Amber, who dreams of having her own fashion line. When the opportunity comes up, she soon finds herself basking in success and the glamorous lifestyle that comes with it, but when a familiar face from her past reappears, she finds herself in trouble. Drifting further and further away from her family and friends, Amber tries to get her life back on track just in time for Christmas.
Geordie favourite Vicky first announced she was realeasing a second book just a month after her first hit the shelves.
Getting a taste for creating novels, she told Reveal shortly after her debut release: "I feel quite swanky calling myself a novelist, I'm feeling very tired but very proud of myself. Writing has always been a massive passion of mine so it's a massive accolade for me."
