Yesterday, it was revealed Tom and his boyfriend of two years, Dustin, are now set to wed and on hearing of the couple's exciting news, fans were quick to share their congratulations.
Thanking them for their well wishes, Tom has now treated his Twitter and Instagram followers to a first look at his and his husband-to-be's all important new accessories.
How lovely are they?!
Taking to Instagram, Tom shared a photo of the couple's rings (the pair opted for a silver band with a subtle stone engraved into it) sitting on top on each other while resting on his and Dustin's engagement announcement.
Tom and Dustin had shunned a public reveal on social media, choosing to announce they are getting married in a more traditional manner, posting an announcement in The Times newspaper.
It read: "The engagement is announced between Tom, son of Robert and Debra Daley of Plymouth, and Lance, son of Jeff Bisch of Philadelphia and Anne Bisch of Lake Providence."
Alongside his photo of their rings, Tom said: "#HeSaidYES and then #ISaidYES. Thanks for all the lovely messages!"
Dustin, meanwhile, shared the same snap to his official Facebook page. He wrote alongside it: "Thank you so much for all of the kind words and well wishes. Dream come true. #IsaidYES then #HeSaidYes."
The Oscar-winning screen writer and Tom first began dating back in 2013, with Tom later admitting it was he who had made the first move.
Opening up about how he and Dustin began dating, Tom revealed: "We were at a party and I hadn't even spoken to him all night. I didn't know what to do or if he was gay at first. I typed 'call me' in his notes with a smiley face on this phone and the next day he texted."
His revelation came after Tom came out to fans in an inspiring video to YouTube, two years ago. He explained to fans he was in a relationship with a guy and couldn't be happier.
In the clip, Tom says: "I've never really had a serious relationship to talk about. Now I feel ready to talk about my relationships.
"Come spring this year, my life changed massively when I met someone. They make me feel so happy, so happy, so safe and everything just feels great."
"That someone is a guy and it did take me by surprise a little bit," he admitted. "It was always in the back of my head that something like that could happen, but it wasn't until spring this year that something just clicked. It felt right, and I was like, 'Oh ok'. My whole world just changed."
