Well, that's according to The Mirror anyway, which alleges the Irish music manager had been in talks with ITV about a big-money deal to enter the Australian jungle later this year.
But the newspaper claims that's now up in the air after Simon Cowell decided he wanted Louis to return to X Factor this year, despite dumping him from the judging panel over the summer.
A source said: "ITV approached him months ago to do I'm A Celebrity. He turned them down but in recent weeks they have come in again for him with a huge money offer. [Louis] met them to discuss it but now Simon is offering him a place back on X Factor it seems unlikely he will be heading to Australia."
Neither Simon nor X Factor bosses have commented yet on the rumours that Louis could return to X Factor in some capacity later this year.
He was ditched from the judging panel over the summer and replaced by BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Nick Grimshaw, while fellow judge Mel B was replaced by Rita Ora. Judges Simon and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini both returned to the panel.
Appearing on ITV's Loose Women last week, Louis would only say the door was open for a return...
"Well, I don't really know. Simon said the door was open to me months ago. I talked to him last night. There is a possibility I might end up on the show...But I don't know for definite. I'd like to. I'm available. It's up to Simon and I get on with him really well. I have worked with him for 12 years. We talk all the time. I think there is a chance.
"It's the best show in the world - it's the most talked about TV show - there are three or four acts on the show this year that are incredible."
