Just 21 months after they wed, the pair have mutually agreed to go their separate ways.
The Big Bang Theory actress confirmed the news via a spokesperson on Friday (25 September), telling People: "Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting have mutually decided to end their marriage.
"They ask for privacy at this time. No further statement will be issued regarding this matter."
Kaley, 29, and the tennis player, 28, got married on New Year's Eve 2013 after a whirlwind six month romance.
In fact, the couple moved in together the day after their first date.
They married at a romantic fire-and-ice-themed wedding on a ranch in Southern California, with Kaley in a hot pink dress.
The day after she gushed: "Last night I married my sweetheart. Life couldn't be sweeter."
He has since had Kaley's name tattooed on his arm, while she had previously said she 'couldn't wait' to have kids with him.
In April this year, they denied they were having marriage troubles.
Kaley wrote on Instagram: "I have never been more proud of anyone on this planet. This guy is fighting back from a whirlwind of injuries and not to mention constant 'conversation' regarding our marriage and basically any daily decision we decide to make."
She continued: "All of you who take it upon yourselves to trash our marriage, daily workings of our relationship and everything in between, go ahead and keep doing it, cause it only makes us stronger - if you were smart, you would take a look at your own marriage, relationship, job etc, instead of focusing on someone else's.
"You might be surprised at what you find. 'You know my name, not my story'."
The actress has now removed all traces of Ryan from her social media accounts.
In a cruel twist of fate, Kaley's Big Bang Theory character Penny finally said 'I do' to Leonard (Johnny Galecki) in last week's season nine finale.
