It was a surprise move from James, who has been Austin's best friend in the house. James told Austin although it was a difficult decision, it was also easy as he wanted to show how unhappy he has been with Austin's behaviour lately.
In scenes to air tonight, filmed before the eviction, we will see Austin telling the Diary Room: "Today's the day that my best mate put me up for eviction and it feels like shit, I feel betrayed, I feel backstabbed but it's in the hands of the British public now."
Austin actually got his predictions for who would be evicted - Jenna Jameson and Janice Dickinson - right. He said: "I think Jenna will be the one to leave tonight alongside Janice, I think people are fed up with Janice, people are tired of her, she is self-absorbed, ignorant, she talks out of her ass."
Later on, unaware of what Austin has said, former supermodel Janice cuddled him in the bedroom and said: "I think you're genuine, competitive, loyal, honest and you're the real deal man."
In her eviction interview last night, Janice refused to badmouth Austin, even when host Emma Willis said his rant about her earlier this week had been uncalled for.
Austin shocked housemates with his foul-mouthed outburst which included telling Janice: "You f**king embarrassment of a mother, you should be ashamed. You stupid c**t."
Janice, however, told Emma: "Because he's just a kid and the fact of the matter is he loves Great Britain but he's very competitive. He's young and wonderful and you have to cut him some slack. He gave me a whole bunch of stuff but believe you me, I can take it."
She added that she hopes everybody gets behind Austin when he leaves the house, saying: "If I say Austin is okay, he is okay. He has my stand. He is an American and I am proud of him."
Austin did apologise to Janice for his rant after it happened, telling her: "I feel like an asshole. That was bang out of order to say those things. I'm not going to make excuses, it was f**ked up and inappropriate by any means, that is an understatement. It's absolutely the last things that should have come out my mouth."
CBB airs nightly on Channel 5.
