Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien has shared her nerves ahead of the ITV soap's live episode tonight, admitting she is worried something will go "terribly wrong".

This evening, viewers will tune in as the Cobbles goes completely live to celebrate Coronation Street's 60th anniversary.

In the hour long episode, Tina (who plays Sarah-Louise Platt) on the show will be put to the test as she and her onscreen family will be at the centre of tonight's action. The episode will focus on the Platts and their desperate attempts to thwart Callum (Sean Ward) and his plan to extort £20,000 from them.

Speaking ahead of the episode, an anxious Tina has said: "We've been rehearsing for two weeks, but things could go terribly wrong."

The live element definitely puts the cast on edge as the nation will all be tuning in to see if anyone messes up their lines. And if they do, it really doesn't go unnoticed. Everyone remembers 'How's Adam?' trending on Twitter after Jo Joyner called Ian Beale the name of the actor who plays him, right?

Speaking to The Sun, Tina added: "The last live episode was flawless and I don't think people realised it was live. I know they will have loved that, but I know they will be watching in the hope that something [doesn't go] right.

"As long as it's not me falling on my face, which would be embarrassing, then I think we will be fine."

She told the paper her "heart will be pumping" as the credits start rolling to get the episode underway, before teasing she thinks it's going to be "absolutely amazing".

Tina's not the only one who has hinted Corrie's live episode will be memorable. Reveal blogger Brooke Vincent, who plays, Sophie Webster on the show writes in her latest blog that all the cast are so nervous, but it will definitely be one "not to miss".

"Everyone is working so so hard on this," she said. "It just makes me feel so privileged to be involved in such an amazing project."

As well as all the live action, Corrie bosses have told fans to keep an eye out on social media too, as they'll be sharing behind-the-scenes access and exclusive interviews with all the cast involved.

And spurring them on to do a great job, familiar face Michelle Keegan (who left the soap last year) made sure to send her old co-stars her well-wishes.

She tweeted earlier today: "Good luck to everyone at @itvcorrie tonight for the LIVE ep... I know how hard you guys have worked, sending you all my love! CANT WAIT!!! X."

Neither can we Michelle, neither can we!

Coronation Street's LIVE episode airs tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
