Will they? Won't they? We're still utterly confused as to whether the Spice Girls really are reuniting and while we're hoping, praying and keeping everything crossed that they do, Mel B has revealed she's pulling out all the stops to make sure it happens.

Oh, we knew we could always rely on Scary Spice.

Setting the record straight on all the speculation surrounding our favourite 90s girlband, former X Factor judge Mel revealed yes the Spice Girls are in talks to reunite and, if they do, yes it will be all five of them - Victoria Beckham included. Does this mean we can start getting excited now?

Addressing the Spice Girl reunion hype of late, Mel told Meredith Vieira during a recent appearance on her chat show: "Nothing has been announced, nothing's official. Yes, we are in talks, because it is our 20th anniversary, and I want something to happen... it better!

"I'm forcing them a little bit, I've been saying it for five years. 'We are reuniting, aren't we? We are? We are? We need to!'"

The 40-year-old's comments come after Geri Halliwell recently let slip the girls were in talks over a comeback for their 20th anniversary.

Emma Bunton had previously dismissed such claims, telling fans she wasn't aware anything was happening. Geri, however, told a different story during a recent appearance on ITV's This Morning, saying the idea of a reunion is being considered.

She said: "I knew you would ask me this! I can say there have been talks. There you go. There are talks. I think that is fair and honest."

Despite chat of a reunion getting underway, it has been reported if the Spice Girls do take to the stage once again it will be without Victoria. It's thought Posh Spice has decided not to be involved now she has become focused on her fashion business instead, but Mel reassured us she'll be making sure Victoria will be back rocking her famous LBDs and skinny heels.

"[Victoria] is my friend, I adore her, I love her to pieces," she said. "If we do something, it has to be all of us. That's the whole point. As soon as there's something to actually announce, I'll be yelling it from the rooftops."

So will we Mel, so will we.

In the meantime, is it too early to start digging out our Union Jack dresses and Sporty Spice-esque sports bras?
