Lydia Bright has admitted it can be "nerve-wracking" watching episodes of TOWIE as the cast have absolutely no idea what will make the edit – and what others have said about them.

The reality star spoke to the BBC as part of a look into how TV shows manage to keep plotlines secret. For TOWIE, it seems simple: they don't actually know them!

Lydia said: "It's really nerve-racking for us because we see it when you guys watch it."

Co-star Chloe Sims echoed that, saying they never know what others will say about them. "Say you've fallen out with someone, you're going to watch because you want to hear what they've said about you so you can react the next day. We don't know what you're going to see."

The cast will begin filming the new series of the ITVBe show later this month, making their annual trip to Marbella for the opening episodes.

But in a twist, this year half the cast will be sent back to Essex at the end of one episode, leaving the others to enjoy their holiday in the sun.

A source told us the second episode of the new series would feature action from Marbella and action from back home in Essex: "There's no specific reason to it other than to keep the show fresh and different."

We can't wait!

Ten reasons we want to be on TOWIE!
