The former High School Musical star commemorated the big day by sharing a sweet image from the wedding online, showing her getting ready to walk down the aisle.
Her caption was simple: "The day........ #1yearanniversary ."
Ashley and Christopher said 'I do' in an evening ceremony in California on 8 September, 2014. She chose a Monday because she wanted to ensure privacy for her big day and because the 8th just happened to be their anniversary!
"The 8th was our anniversary so I wanted to land [our wedding] on an 8th and thankfully it landed on a Monday in September… and I thought it was a good idea because I figured like, 'Oh, I don't think anybody would figure this one out' and that was to protect the privacy of it," she told Ryan Seacrest's radio show.
She told E! News in November: "It's great. We wake up in the morning and I'm like 'hi husband'. I married my best friend, it's awesome. Kids won't be for a while. Christopher and I] are both so busy with work. I have a series coming out in June and I'm really focused on doing stuff in fashion too... So not for a while."
They became engaged eight months into their relationship, when Christopher proposed at the top of the Empire State Building in New York. How romantic!
Bridesmaids at the wedding included Ashley's close friend and former High School Musical bandmate Vanessa Hudgens.
