After winning the shopping task, Team USA got immunity from eviction and had to collectively decide which Team UK housemates to face the public vote.
They chose Gail along with Chris Ellison, Bobby Davro and Chloe-Jasmine and Stevi Ritchie.
A visibly upset Gail began to cry after she found out, and later said in the Diary Room: "I'm just missing everybody and then I got nominated so I'm feeling a bit s**t…I think that people don't like me or I've done something wrong. I know it's all part of the game but it's not very nice not to know what you've done wrong."
Team USA housemate Austin Armacost was the one who explained Gail's nomination in the face-to-face nominations. Awkward. He said it was more tactical than anything else.
He told her: "Gail, everyone knows without a doubt you are the cleanest person in the house. We thought that you are the glue that holds the team together and from a standpoint of competition, we felt that if we took you out then some of the other team members would fall apart. We also felt that you're a great woman, but you're just not a fighter, a competitor, so that's how we decided to go for these decisions."
After the nominations are announced, Team USA's Jenna Jameson tells Gail: "You are in Big Brother, if you are too sensitive to handle you need to step out."
And Bobby Davro privately tells Fatman Scoop that he wants Gail to be the next star to leave, as watching her get upset in the house is really upsetting him.
Natasha Hamilton later takes Gail to one side and tells her: "I worry about you, you can't keep taking everything so personal…. people are playing a game."
