Olly Murs has joked about being stuck in "miserable London" while the X Factor panel swan off to exotic locations for judges' houses.

For the first time ever, this year we'll see the judges' houses part of the show broadcast LIVE from across the globe. Exciting for us but less fun for Olly and co-host Caroline Flack, who have to anchor proceedings from the UK.

That means they won't be jetting off to gorgeous, faraway destinations like previous host Dermot O'Leary used to do every year.

Speaking on ITV's Good Morning Britain today, Olly joked: "Me and Caroline have to do it in a studio seeing everyone tanned in St Tropez or Ibiza and there's us in miserable London!"

He added that he's still not sure how the live judges' houses will work, saying: "That's one of the most exciting things that Simon spoke to us all about that this year, they wanted to do live judges' houses. How that works, I don't know!"

Us neither but we can't wait to see!

X Factor kicked off on ITV last weekend with the first round of auditions. In real time, the
and each judge now knows who they are bringing to judges' houses.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has the groups, Simon Cowell has the overs, Rita Ora has the girls, and Nick Grimshaw has the boys. Each judge can bring six acts to judges' houses, where they will decide who goes through to live shows and who goes home.
