Jay, formerly of boyband The Wanted, is taking part in this year's show alongside 14 other celebrities. While we have to wait to see who he is being partnered with, Jay knows what he is looking for in a partner.
He said: "I would like my dance partner to be firm and crack the whip but also have a sense of humour as I will absolutely make the same mistake over and over again!"
But what will be Jay's biggest challenge?
"I think my biggest challenge will be smiling," he admits. "Not because I'm not happy but because I'm not naturally a smiley person so when it comes to one of the more enthusiastic dances I think I'm going to really struggle to bring that character out.
"I'm also going to struggle with having a strict routine again, I've been away from work and living in Los Angeles for a year as well as travelling, but now I have commitments to uphold and focus on, so that's going to be a challenge."
And watch out Peter Andre because Jay could be a dark horse...
"A lot of people won't know that I'm the only member of The Wanted that had danced beforehand at a college in Nottingham but I did a lot of contemporary dance so I'm looking forward to now learning different types of dance that I've never done before."
