The couple surprised fans in July when they announced their three-year marriage had come to an end, but in a new interview with The Mirror, former Westlife singer Brian has said their friendship remains as strong as ever.
"Both of us are fine," he said.
"People don't understand. It was an amicable split-up and we are still best friends. She stays at my house a couple of times a week. We still have a dog together and she still takes my kids out. We are genuinely best friends – that is a part of the relationship that never changes."
Brian, 35, went on to echo what Vogue said in a recent interview, that there was nothing sinister behind their split, it was simply a case of drifting apart as lovers.
"We both knew for a long time that it was coming to an end. It is still really, really sad, but what\s made it easier is that we are still talking... It's the best break-up I've ever had, the easiest one in history. The worst thing would be losing Vogue as a friend."
Brian also confirmed Vogue's recent statement that the couple are still living together while she finds a new home.
She said in an interview: "My family find it strange but we've only just broken up and I haven't found somewhere else to live. I'm sure there will be a time when we're not in contact as much as we are now, but until I find somewhere else we're going to be in each other's lives.
"It just didn't work out. He wasn't with anyone else, I wasn't with anyone else, it was nothing to do with that. That's why we find it easier to be friends maybe."
