Jake Sims was among the stars who attended last night's Jeans for Genes charity event in London.

The former Stereo Kicks singer leant his support to the annual bash, which aims to raise funding to help kids across the UK who are living with genetic disorders.

For Jake, it was a night off from working on his new solo music, which we cannot wait to hear! He's been teasing us with all sorts of tweets about business meetings, saying he's been writing music and working on covers.

When do we get to hear it?!

We do know it will be a departure from what he did with Stereo Kicks, as he told Daily Star recently: "Before I felt like I was compromising myself doing the stuff with Stereo Kicks. I loved it but it wasn't my music. I want to use rap in the music, hip-hop and rap – but not a full on f*** bitches sort of thing. I will make it more naughty though, I'll have that explicit sign next to the album."

There's no word yet on when we will hear that music, but he did thank fans recently for staying with him as he works on his solo career. He tweeted: "Just wanna say a quick thank-you to those of you staying active & supportive. things take time to be perfected but it'll be worth the wait."
