The celebrities and their professional dance partners adorned themselves in sparkly Strictly sequin outfits and headed to Elstree Studios in Hertforshire for the series launch show.
As expected it was a very glamorous affair, with presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman making an entrance in gorgeous gowns.
And of course Strictly would be nothing without the judges! Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood were also in attendance, no doubt already checking out the celebs footwork on the sly.
Ainsley Harriott looked in his element as he arrived in a blue waistcoat, floral shirt, neon pink tie and sparkly hat, we can't wait to see him on the live shows! The TV has admitted it's an extreme departure from his usual daily life, saying: "In my day job the only type of Salsa I know about is the one in my recipes so I am looking forward to rising to the challenge, bring it on!"
Peter Andre already seems extremely confident with his prowess on the dance floor, he took it upon himself to join the professional female dancers for their photo call! Now we're expecting very big things...
Celebrity contestants Anita Rani and former Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote got in an extra bit of dance practice as they showed off their fancy footwork for the cameras, we're giving Anita a 10 for that twirl.
Sports presenter Kirsty Gallacher wore a sparkly pink dress of dreams that looked right at home amongst the Strictly glitz, but unfortunately for the rest of us this would look a little OTT anywhere else!
Jamelia's also went all out with a retro pink and orange tasselled number. The Loose Women presenter revealed she's going on the show for her daughter's, saying: "My girls are huge fans of Strictly, but when I told them I was doing it they laughed as they know that dancing is not my forté!
"The girls are amazing dancers though so I definitely want to learn a new skill so that I'll be able to give them a run for their money, and end them teasing me once and for all!"
BBC Proms Presenter Katie Derham also went for tassels in a bright purple number, whilst Call the Midwife actress Helen George brought a dose of classic Hollywood style glamour in a stunning gold dress with a delicately embellished floral pattern.
BBC weather presenter Carol Kirkwood won for the most dramatic gown, (not that there's actually a prize for that on Strictly, but anyway) in a vibrant blue velvet gown that's just perfect for twirling round the dancefloor.
Ok so that's made our own outfits feel totally boring, but also made us super excited for the Strictly lot to shimmy across the dancefloor. Woo-hoo!
