Letting music take a back burner, Diana (who shot to fame on The X Factor in 2008) has taken to the stage in the West End, as well as starred in a few films too. Her latest role sees her take on the big screen in psychological thriller, Awaiting, but Diana admits she would be more than happy to turn her attentions to soaps too.
Corrie, in particular!
Speaking to The Daily Star recently, the 24-year-old revealed: "I'd love to do a stint in Coronation Street, I think it would be really fun."
She added: "I always wanted to act, I've been doing acting for as long as I could sing... I just feel like this is my calling and this is what I want to do... I wouldn't stay in [Corrie] for a long time, I'd only do it for a couple of months because I think you can get pigeonholed and I think I get bored of things quite easily. I love change."
Diana wouldn't be the first singer to arrive on the cobbles as a whole slew of familiar faces have joined the Coronation Street cast in the last few years.
Following her time in Hear'Say, Kym Marsh landed herself a role on Corrie as barmaid Michelle Connor and has been a regular face on the show since 2006.
More recently, Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding joined the cast for a guest appearance and X Factor's Shayne Ward has landed himself a one-year stint on the ITV soap playing Kym's distant cousin Aiden Connor.
Speaking about his new role, Shayne has said he "couldn't be happier" playing Aiden.
"If I can stay here at Corrie for the next 10, 15, even 20 years, I would love that," he said. "It still doesn't feel real but I couldn't be happier playing Aidan."
Who knows, maybe a familiar face in Diana will be joining him soon?
