This year, Peter along with fourteen other celebrities will be putting on their dancing shoes in their bid to win the famous Glitterball trophy. Hoping to follow in the footsteps of reigning champ Caroline Flack, the celebrities got their first taste of the Ballroom when they joined the show's professionals to kick off rehearsals.
Last week, Peter confirmed he would be appearing on BBC One's dance competition and after being asked before, the 'Mysterious Girl' singer said now was the "right time" for him to give it a go.
We have to say he looks pretty keen to get started and it seems his wife Emily MacDonagh (the pair married last month), is just as eager for Peter to make his Strictly debut.
The dad-of-three has already revealed Emily is "giving him grief" on deciding to do Strictly. He said: "I'm not gonna hear the end of it by the way. She's already sending me pictures of sparkly outfits with smiley faces at the end, she's giving me grief already."
Oh, Pete! He's going to have to embrace the sparkles!
While many can't wait to see Pete hit the dancefloor, X Factor judge and music mogul Simon Cowell couldn't help but make a dig after hearing Peter's name was on the bill.
Every year The X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing are pit against each other in a ratings war and speaking about this year's battle, he quipped: "If it's us versus Peter Andre, I've got to put my money on us!"
Peter's appearance at rehearsals today comes as the BBC confirmed the full Strictly lineup ahead of the show's return next month.
The last two remaining celebrities to be confirmed were Sports broadcaster Kirsty Gallacher and sprinter Iwan Thomas. They join a slew of stars including Coronation Street's Georgia May Foote, Jamelia, celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott and EastEnders actress Kellie Bright.
Ahead of getting started Kirsty has said she is "excited" to be appearing on the show, admitting dancing is going to be a whole new challenge for her. Iwan, meanwhile, said the thought of showing off his moves is pretty scary.
"I'm scared at the thought of taking part in Strictly... I can't believe I'm swapping my running spikes for dancing shoes."
Strictly Come Dancing - The Launch Show airs at 7.15pm on BBC One on Saturday 5 September 2015.
