It's all change!
The 12th series of X Factor starts on ITV this weekend with a new-look judging panel, new hosts and new presenters of spinoff show The Xtra Factor.
But it's the format changes that have really got us interested…
1. Judges' categories are in our hands!
The first big twist is that viewers will get to decide which judge mentors which category. Now, that's going to be interesting! As always, there are four categories: the Boys, the Girls, the Overs and the Groups. Previously, producers decided which judge got which category, but not this time!
Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw will learn their fate after a public vote. Interesting!
The results of the vote will be revealed before Boot Camp stage, where we'll also see the return of the Six Chair Challenge. Once again, contestants have to sing for one of six spots at judges' houses.
And then when it comes to judges' houses… well, we can't wait to see how they pull this one off!
2. LIVE judges' houses!
For the first time ever, the judges' houses will be broadcast live from locations around the world. The contestants' performances will be live, before the judges decide who to bring through to live shows and who is going home.
IT'S ALL SO EXCITING!
Former Xtra Factor double act Caroline Flack and Olly Murs will host the main show this year, following the exit of longtime presenter Dermot O'Leary, while over on Xtra Factor, we'll see Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes and DJ Melvin Odoom taking the reigns.
X Factor returns this weekend, Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August on ITV 8pm.
