The 26-year-old middleweight professional boxer joins a lineup for the BBC competition that already includes Peter Andre, Carol Kirkwood, Daniel O'Donnell and Georgia May Foote.
Anthony said: "I've faced a lot of tough opposition in the past, but I've never faced anyone as tough as the Strictly judges before! My Mum is a massive fan of the show so I will be trying my hardest to make her proud."
The athlete has been boxing since he was 12 years old. He won a gold medal at the Junior Olympics in Texas in 2004 and then won bronze at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Strictly isn't his first venture into TV: he appeared in Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack in 2008, finishing in fourth place, and took part in ITV's diving show Splash! but had to withdraw due to injury.
Anthony is the ninth celebrity confirmed for the new series. Also taking part are Jeremy Vine, Ainsley Harriott, Kellie Bright, Georgia May Foote, Katie Derham, Carol Kirkwood, Peter Andre and Daniel O'Donnell.
