The childhood sweethearts rekindled their romance last year and have been stronger than ever – but fans hoping for marriage planning on an upcoming series may have to wait a little longer…
Speaking to Daily Mail, fashion designer Lydia said of their relationship: "We met seven years ago and have had our fair shares of ups and downs along the way, so I definitely see it happening in the future,
"It is definitely long term but marriage won't be anytime soon. Although marriage and children is something I am planning towards in the future. A happy life with the family eventually – but not anytime soon."
When the big moment to propose does arrive, it appears we may not be seeing it on TV as Lydia said last month she'd like the proposal to remain private.
She told Daily Star's TV Extra: "We've been on and off for seven years, so it's a long time, but this is it now. It'll happen in the next three years. We have spent so much of our lives on TV, so I'd like the proposal to be a bit more private and between us."
Although they may not be tying the knot anytime soon, it appears proposing and marriage is definitely on Arg's mind at least! In an episode of TOWIE last series he memorably called Lydia his "wife" by accident while talking to the guys.
Discussing a family barbecue he was planning, he said: "I want to do the cooking just to show everyone that a, I'm this new, mature geezer and b, I can cook and look after my wife… sorry, woman!"
He later asked Lydia's little sister Roma: "Potentially one day would you love to be my sister in law and me to marry your sister?" Roma's reply? "Yes. You've been together seven years, that's long enough!"
