Dad-of-three Peter, who has signed up for the show alongside fellow celebs including Georgia May Foote, Kellie Bright and Ainsley Harriott, said: "I'm nervous because it will be a very new experience for me."
The 42-year-old 'Mysterious Girl' singer is bound to embrace the sparkles, glitter and costumes, but the one thing he won't be needing much of is fake tan.
He said: "Look, I'm of Greek origin, I can get quite dark so I need to take it easy on the fake tan!"
Although "winning would be the ultimate" for Peter, he would be content with "doing a great performance every time."
But, the most important question is, who does Peter want to partner with?
"I've met Ola Jordan a few times and we always joked that one day we would partner up on Strictly."
Ooh! Watch this space!
Having been the latest celebrity to be added to the Strictly roster, William Hill have immediately made him Peter their 9/2 favourite to win the show followed by Georgia at 11/2 and Ainsley at 10/1.
"Peter Andre will no doubt appeal to many of the viewers, given his reality TV history and should go far," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. "We are convinced he will reach the latter stages of the show."
No doubt Peter's wife Emily MacDonagh will be in the crowd cheering him on each week!
Peter, who was contestant on the third series of I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2004, has had his fair share of TV shows. He had a fly-on-the-wall reality series with his then wife Katie Price, before starring in individual ones on ITV2, and he's also fronted Peter Andre's 60 Minute Makeover. More recently he's appeared on Give a Pet a Home.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One for its 13th series in September 2015.
