The X Factor judge, 32, insists she is healthy and happy - and NOT anorexic.
The star's recent weight loss led to her being called a "bag of bones" by critics, and even Simon Cowell waded in claiming Cheryl "eats loads".
Now Cheryl tells The Mirror: "No, I'm not anorexic. It all started with a girl on Instagram calling us a bag of bones.
"At the time I was thinking people are so quick to judge without thinking, 'Is there a reason why this person might be like that?'."
At the time, Cheryl posted an angry message on social media, explaining she had recently been through a lot, including losing her father-in-law.
She now adds: "Right now I feel like we are facing a lot of body issues in general - girls expected to have big booties, girls with thin legs - and it's impossible.
"It needs to slow down, or stop. It's highlighting body insecurities and it's not right.
"I work 12 to 14 hours a day. I don't even have time at the moment to exercise – and I don't need to either.
"It's nice that people are concerned, but, honestly there's no cause for concern. You can see I am completely and utterly well and happy."
Rent-a-gob Katie Hopkins recently joined the debate when she wrote in The Sun: "I may not be a big fan of chubsters. But little Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is so tinky-tiny I feel cold when I look at her.
"Cheryl, love, you need a good roast dinner and some thermals."
Something tells us Cheryl won't be losing any sleep about those comments though!
The 'Call My Name' singer is married to "love of her life" French hotelier Jean-Bernard, and they recently celebrated their one year wedding anniversary.
