The Voice USA isn't shy when it comes to bringing in the big names and since it first aired in 2011, it has seen a slew of global superstars join the show. From resident coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, to pop diva Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Shakira, Usher, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams, contestants really have been spoilt for choice when it comes to picking their mentor.
And now, show bosses have added yet another super famous face to the lineup... Rihanna. It has been confirmed the 'Only Girl' singer will be joining the coaches for The Voice USA's ninth season as their key advisor.
Basically it means Rihanna will be on hand to dish out any advice and critique she has for all four coaches and their acts.
A bit like X Factor's Judges' Houses, during the battle rounds of the voice every season, a whole host of celebrity singers are roped in to help the coaches prepare their acts when they go head-to-head.
Usually each judge has a different advisor, and while that will be the case for the battle rounds as it normally is, Rihanna will help all coaches with their acts in the knockout rounds that follow.
"We landed Rihanna to be the key advisor to all the coaches this fall," a spokesperson for NBC told E!. "This is one of music's true supervisors coming on board to influence the lives and careers of the performers."
The Voice USA's ninth series will see the return of Adam, Blake and Pharrell as coaches, with Gwen (who recently divorced from husband Gavin Rossdale) stepping back into replace Christina.
It's been said Christina (who hit the headlines for sharing a topless photo on Instagram recently) is taking some time out to focus on her music and family, before returning for the show's tenth series.
The Voice USA Season 9 will air in September.
