According to reports, Rylan had said in an interview he doesn't think the X Factor has matched up to the series he took part in back in 2012, suggesting no one since has achieved as much success as his fellow contestants Ella Henderson and James Arthur.
However, the 26-year-old was quick to clear up today he had not and would not ever "slate" the show that shot him stardom.
Taking to Twitter, Rylan tweeted: "I love @TheXFactor it's where I come from and have never and will never slate the show? It's the reason I'm here?!"

Rylan first graced our screens three years ago when he auditioned for The X Factor. At the time Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh were on the judging panel and Rylan secured a place in the live shows. He then went onto finish fifth in the competition.
Since then, Rylan has found himself back on our screens presenting for ITV's This Morning and hosting Channel 5's Big Brother's Bit On The Side, after winning Celebrity Big Brother in 2013.
A self-confessed Big Brother fan, the reality star has said his presenting gig on the show is his "dream job" and Rylan even recently admitted he has his very own diary room chair in his house.
He will be back along with Emma Willis to present the upcoming series of Celebrity Big Brother set to air this month.
This year the CBB house will take on a UK versus USA theme with the likes of Dan Osborne, Daniella Westbrook, WWE star Chyna, newly engaged Stevi Ritchie and Chloe-Jasmine Whicello and Teen Mum's Farrah Abraham rumoured to be going in.
