Last month, Jake enlisted the help of Ed Sheeran to propose to girlfriend Jesy and instantly set the bar for all other guys wanting to get down on one knee in years to come.
With girls wishing he was their future husband to-be and boys only hoping they can pull off a proposal just as well as he he has done, it's no surprise Jake is brimming with all the confidence. So much so, the cheeky chap has now said: "I am the self-proclaimed king of romance."
Well, you kind of have to hand it to him.
Marking a year since he first met Jesy, Jake decided to surprise her and pop the question on stage at Manchester Arena.
While Little Mix were doing their sound check, Ed appeared out of nowhere and started singing Jesy's favourite song 'Tenerife Sea'. He was shortly followed by Jake, her beau, who proceeded to get down on one knee and ask the starlet to marry him.
Capturing the moment on camera, Jake shared a photo of himself proposing to Instagram, telling fans: "A year ago today I met her at manchester arena, so it was only right, with a little help from my friend, that this happened. Best day of my life."
Now looking back, Jake has admitted he found the entire thing completely "nerve-racking".
Speaking ahead of his performance at Thorpe Park Resort's Island Beats, he said: "I planned it myself. It was a nerve-racking experience, but it was good."
Following his proposal, Jake's mum Coleen Nolan had predicted it wouldn't be long before he and Jesy actually tie the knot.
She told her Loose Women co-stars: "Although they are young, they are just so in love. I can't see it being five or six years. I think they'll be getting straight onto it probably in the next year or two."
Jake, however, has said all wedding plans are currently on hold thanks to his busy schedule with Rixton and, no doubt, Jesy's with Little Mix too.
"As of now Rixton is solely the main purpose... get all the new music down, but it's something to think about for the future," he added. "For me it was the next level of commitment, we are away a lot I won't see her now for a few weeks so we will see what happens."
Jesy, meanwhile, has told fans she "feels like the luckiest girl in the world" to be becoming Mrs Roche, with the 24-year-old flashing her engagement ring for all to see since getting it.
To be honest, we can't say we blame her!
