And while Shayne, 30, is set to get a whole lot of attention from the ladies after he makes his debut, he admits he's not yet ready to move on, despite splitting from his fiancé of 10 years, Faye McKeever, in March last year.
"I'm not looking to get into a relationship anytime soon. I¹m just not in the right frame of mind at the moment but I¹m looking forward to a few nights out," he says.
Shayne's heartthrob status and the accolade of winning The X Factor even nearly landed Shayne a place in boy band Take That, a fact revealed in frontman Gary Barlow's autobiography, My Take.
"Which I thought was odd until he told me I had been considered to replace Jason Orange when he left. It was such an honour, but even as part of the band, as a huge fan I would have missed the original line-up".
Away from the limelight, Shayne dodges showbiz parties in favour of caring for his mum Philomena, who recently suffered a stroke.
"She's my mum at the end of the day and I worship the ground she walks on", Shayne shrugs. "I'll be bringing her onto the set with me once she's better. She's a huge fan of the show and keeps on trying to get storylines out of me!'
