Perrie is currently in Los Angeles on a US promotional tour for Little Mix's latest album, but following news of her break-up on Tuesday, she was asked about the shock split in a TV interview.
Appearing on E! with her bandmates, Perrie was asked by the presenter how she was coping.
"Perrie, obviously I know it's a very tough time for you with the news breaking today about you and Zayn, so your fans I know are heartbroken," the presenter said. "Everyone just kind of wants to know how you're feeling?"
Putting on a brave face, Perrie replied: "I'm good, thank you."
Bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock quickly chipped in: "We don't really want to talk about it."
The presenter didn't continue to probe, but said the girls have probably been a "great support" to Perrie.
Zayn's rep confirmed to US Weekly yesterday that he and Perrie, who got engaged in August 2013, are no longer together. A source said that Perrie is "devastated" about their split.
