Last month, Stereo Kicks announced they have decided to call it quits after struggling to get signed by a record label and now, Tom is hoping to take on the music biz completely on his own.
Taking to Twitter, the singer/songwriter told fans he will be releasing an EP at the end of this month, as well as putting on his first solo gig shortly after to launch his new music.
Tom tweeted: "Can't wait to start gigging with my brother @BarclayBeales, but I will be doing ONE gig on my own! EP comes out end of August, so an EP launch gig in London is due I feel hope you guys can make it."
His performance will be his first without his seven bandmates joining him on stage and on seeing Tom's tweets, many Stereo Kicks fans were quick to tell him they'll be there to watch.
News of Tom's decision to go solo comes after he and his bandmates revealed they have decided to split.
Despite their debut single 'Love Me So' (which was written by Tom) reaching number 12 in the mid-week charts, it wasn't enough for a label to snap up the eight-piece. Addressing their loyal fans following their split, Stereo Kicks said: "We love you. We have tried all we can to stay together."
And after playing their final gig as the Stereo Kicks nearly two weeks ago, the boys have already started to embark on what's next.
Giving fans a teaser of new music that could be on the way, Tom and Charlie Jones revealed they had already written and recorded a new song together, 'Choose You'.
James Graham, meanwhile, took to the stage for his first solo set at London's Royal Festival Hall and Jake Sims exclusively told Reveal about his plans to go down the urban route with his solo plans.
"I want to focus on my own stuff, do a bit more urban, less poppy music," he revealed. "[I want to] incorporate my rapping into new stuff. So I'm excited about that."
Sounds like it won't be the last we'll be seeing of the Stereo Kicks boys, after all!
