Love Island star Max Morley has told fans he is hopeful his romance with Jessica Hayes can get back on track.

The dating show's winning couple fell out recently during a recent trip to London. While it hasn't been said what their argument was about, it had seemed the pair had got past their row, with Jess and Max reassuring fans everything was ok between them.

However, a tweet from Max earlier today suggests their relationship isn't as rosy as it seems...

Taking to Twitter, Max told fans: "Had a lovely dinner with @AmberMaeMdl hope we sort it out missed her loads #LoveIsland."

His tweet comes after, Jess cryptically revealed she was taking some time out to think.

Despite having us under the impression everything was all ok with herself and her beau (Jess had shared a photo with Max calling him "her one" shortly after their row), it seems Jess decided to take a break from Max.

Proving things had still been a little tense between the couple, she tweeted: "Been emotional few days, decided to have time with my family after all the stress. #thinkingtime."

Jess had shared this photo of the pair on Instagram following their fallout.

Prior to the pair's argument, Max had been spotted heading out with TOWIE's Jessica Wright and Danielle Armstrong, after partying with girlfriend Jess and his co-stars at the Love Island wrap party. Could that have something to do with the couple's fallout?

Whatever it was, Max's latest tweet suggests he and Jess are now trying to work through their relationship's rocky patch recently. Fans of the couple are hopeful they can do so and Jess too has shared her desire to sort their romance woes.

She took to Twitter shortly after her boyfriend had done so, saying: "Good catch up with @maxmorley1 over dinner. Hope we can sort things out #JAX #loveisland."

Love Island: Max asks Jess to be his girlfriend after some encouragement from Mark Wright - 14 July 2015.

Jess and Max initially started dating while starring on ITV 2's Love Island. Despite dumping Jess for Naomi Ball quite early on, Max soon realised he had made a mistake and pulled out all the stops to rekindle his romance with the glamour model.

Shortly after, he made things official by asking Jess to be his girlfriend. The pair then went onto win Love Island, beating newly engaged couple Hannah Elizabeth and Jon Clark and pocketing the £50,000 prize fund.

Following the show's live final, Reveal caught up with Max and Jess and they told us they were excited for their future together.

Revealing their plans to stay together on the outside, Max told us: "I cannot wait. It's not going to be easy living away from each other, but I think we'll both work at it and it's going to be exciting."
