Celebrity Big Brother is back and it's really heating up the in-house competition this time round, choosing to pit UK and US celebrities against each other.

Big Brother may have now wrapped up, but we're already counting down the days until the celebrity version hits our screens. Even more so now, as Channel 5 has just confirmed its big plans for CBB's next series.

Every year we see a slew of both British and American famous faces head through the Big Brother house's doors and while the two countries usually come together, it's going to be a totally different story this time round thanks to CBB's new UK versus USA theme...

Channel 5 has now confirmed Celebrity Big Brother is set to return next month in August and our celebrity housemates will be going head-to-head.

Ahead of CBB's launch, the house will be getting its usual makeover, but this time round it will be British and American iconography that will be decorating the walls. And while that may make some of our celebs feel a little more at home, Channel 5 warns they won't be getting too comfortable, promising "plenty of surprises along the way."

Shedding light on the UK vs USA theme, Channel 5 added: "Our patriotic celebrities will need to be very competitive as UK and USA is pitted against each other in an epic trial of tasks, challenges and twists."

Intrigued? Us too!

While the show's theme has been confirmed, we're still eagerly awaiting to see which showbiz favourites will be battling it out.

So far, a whole host of names have been thrown into the mix. For the USA, WWE star Chyna is rumoured to be going into the house, alongside Fatman Scoop, Janice Dickinson, Teen Mum's Farrah Abraham and Kathy Griffin.

Repping the Brits, former TOWIE star Dan Osborne has been heavily rumoured, as well as, Celebrity Love Island star Paul Danan, Atomic Kitten's Natasha Hamilton, X Factor's newly engaged couple Stevi Ritchie and Chloe-Jasmine Whichello and Apprentice star James Hill.

EastEnders actress Danniella Westbrook has reportedly been offered £200,000 to make an appearance too.

As usual, Channel 5 are keeping quiet until CBB is back on our screens. We guess we'll just have to sit tight and wait and see!

Emma Willis will be back to front the main show, while Rylan Cark will host Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side.
