Simon Cowell is worried his son Eric will end up barking instead of talking, because he spends so much time playing with his dogs!

At 18 months old, Simon's mini-me son Eric is nearing a very exciting moment, saying his first word. And whilst most parents wonder if their tot will utter Mama or Dada, Simon has a different concern.

He's worried Eric might struggle to speak English because he is always playing with Squiddly and Diddly, his beloved canines.

Simon told the Daily Star: "I have no idea what he is going to talk like, because his mum (Lauren Silverman) is American, I am English and a lot of the girls in my house are from the Philippines.

"He spends most of his time with Squiddly and Diddly. He is going to end up barking."

It's hard to imagine X Factor boss Simon shouting "come here Squiddly and Diddly" across a crowded park, but it's something we'd absolutely love to see!

Simon's pets are no strangers to the spotlight either, having appeared on X Factor and Britain's Got Talent. Wonder if the cute pair will make an appearance on this years X Factor? We've seen snippets from behind the scenes thanks to hosts Olly Murs and Caroline Flack, but there's been no sign of any wagging tails yet!

We love seeing Simon's soft side whenever he shares family moments with Eric, who adorably dresses just like his dad! The music mogul recently proved the mischievous tot is taking after him with his spending habits too...
