Louis Walsh could return to X Factor as part of a comedy sketch to open the series.

Well, that's according to Daily Star anyway, that claims music manager Louis' agreed to make one last appearance on the show in a funny film.

But he won't be a judge. He'll apparently be a cleaner!

A source told the paper that Louis is "game for a laugh" and readily agreed to take part in the sketch which will see him cleaning floors in a science lab where Simon Cowell creates future X Factor stars.

We kind of hope this is true!

Louis left X Factor earlier this year after 11 years on the judging panel and we just don't think it will be the same without him.

We're keeping our fingers crossed, though, that Simon may draft him in as a guest judge during the Judges' Houses section of the show.

The X Factor will be pretty much all-new this year with returning judges Simon and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini joined by new judges Rita ora and Nick Grimshaw. Caroline Flack and Olly Murs replace Dermot O'Leary as presenter, while Rochelle Humes and KISS FM DJ Melvin Odoom take the reigns on Xtra Factor.

Iconic announcer Peter Dickson - the voice of X Factor - has also left the show, although a replacement has yet to be confirmed. Bookies have Big Brother voice Marcus Bentley as the favourite.
