Superstar Mariah, who has been delivering hits since the 90s, will get the 2,556th star on 5 August with guest speakers to include directors Lee Daniels and Brett Ratner, and Mariah's longtime collaborator and Epic Records CEO, L.A. Reid.
You're probably wondering why Mariah hasn't already got one of the sought-after stars, but according to Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremonies, Mariah was "selected in 2007" but is only "now able to do the ceremony".
Ana also said in a statement: "Finally, all questions regarding when Mariah Carey will be honoured with a star are answered! Fans have repeatedly asked us when their favourite singer would be honoured, and now is the time. We are thrilled that we can add one of the world's biggest talents to our Walk of Fame."
Meanwhile, Mariah took to Instagram, saying: "Super excited and feeling so humbled about my star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Thank you so much to the fans for making this happen for me. #walkoffame #hollywood #lambily."
We can't wait for Mariah's ceremony...we mean, imagine all the glitz and glamour?!
Mariah recently wrapped up the first leg of her '#1 to Infinity' residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. She'll continue the next leg in February 2016.
